WHAT TO DO: text copied into WYSIWYG editor is showing wrong

Postby administrator » Feb 13th, '11, 17:26

WYSIWYG editor allows you enter and edit text, but it has some limitations.
Below some important tips that will help you to work with it without problems.

Tip #1:
Don't copy-paste text from Microsoft Word (another same editor or from browser) directly into WYSIWYG editor. When you do this you copy text with many MSWord hidden tags, for example: <OS:> etc.... and it may lead to problems with displaying the text.

There 2 possible solutions:
a) After you've copied the text, use a Strip Word HTML button to clean the copied text.

b) Paste copied text into any simple text editor like Notepad and then copy text from there into the WYSIWYG editor.

Tip #2:
To edit HTML use HTML button, to edit HTML source turn it into the 'Text' mode.
