How to make filter window data horizontal?

Postby ethanthomas82 » Jan 24th, '12, 19:48

In sample_2_7_demo.php example, the data(field box, radio button, etc) in the filter window at the top of the grid appears horizontal (left to right on one line) but when I use this example and plug in my own table data, the search fields and radio buttons become vertical in middle of filter window at top of grid. How do I make it appear horizontal as in the example? And what if I wanted it on two lines rather then one? In other words, how do I format the placement of the boxes and radio buttons the way I want? Thank you in advance!

I found the answer in the documentation:
All I had to do was set the filter value below to "2".
I still don't know why the example online defaulted to this when the same code did not for me. But my main concern is just getting it to work and this worked.
$layouts = array("view"=>"0", "edit"=>"1", "details"=>"1", "filter"=>"2");
$dgrid->setLayouts($layouts);
