How can I change the Search Box Appearance

Postby remware » Sep 30th, '12, 23:12

In an earlier version of Datagrid, I have a horizontal search box displaying like Old.jpg

Using the current version of Datagrid, I get this: New.jpg

Where/how do I get the current version to display the search box like the Old version

Even Better Still ? How can I Remove the Hide Search and Refresh Page functions as displayed by the gif's?

I've searched and searched the files, but find no solution. Any/All help appreciated :D

Currently only manually in the code of datagrid.class.php
We're planning to release new version in few weeks, so you could do it with non-documented property.

OK, glad to hear that's coming. But, I don't have 'several' weeks.
Where/what in datagrid.class.php do I look for and change?

Look for refresh.gif and search_hide.gif in DrawControlPanel() method of DataGrid class and remove/change code around them according to your needs.

Thanks! 1/2 way there

Last piece is how to regroup the search selection dropdown menus and the Reset and Search buttons, as well as the surround line.
Currently, things look like Bar1.jpg

I'd like it to like Bar2.jpg (yeh Photoshop)

It must be in datagrid.class.php, but I'm just not sure where and what.

Enlarge the width of your table for view mode and define it in fixed number of pixels.

Perhaps I'm not conveying exactly what I want?

When I widen the view to 750 pxl, this is what I get. What I want is for All elements to be on a single line, and Not split with the Reset and Search buttons below on a second line.

1. Use "filter"=>"2" for SetLayouts() method.
2. Wait to the next version (planning to release in a few weeks)
