Having 2 datagrids in Add mode

Postby rssridhar17 » Dec 21st, '11, 06:11

Hi,

I am using the latest version of datagrid Ver 7+

Kindly let me know if I can have 2 datagrids (values for 2 tables) in the Add mode !

In all the examples what i have seen is 2 grids in edit mode. But I want to add records to 2 different tables, How to define this and where to define the 2nd grid

You may do it only by using virtual fields:

using virtual fields, will not suffice.

Because I have a condition to be checked,
the first grid record can be added only if the second grid record is added.
What is work around for such a situation, kindly help !

Possible solution:
- datagrid on one page
- id insertion was successful, redirect user to another page, where 2nd grid is placed with ...?mode=add
