[SOLVED] having problem with Micro Blog Pro -- image upload

Postby yudthaphon » Jul 21st, '10, 08:20

First, thanks for a great product.
Installation is smooth.
Everything goes like a charm.

One problem, not sure if I did some setting wrong.
Logged in as administrator into the Blog for editing posts.

I could not upload image to the blog. It pops up a new small window with this address:

Code: Select all

http://www.infinite-exhibit.com/blogs/modules/wysiwyg/addons/imagelibrary/insert_image.php?wysiwyg=my_post_text

it said
"You are not authorized to view this page."

not sure with to do next.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Yes, this issue was already fixed.
Please open modules/wysiwyg/addons/imagelibrary/insert_image.php and modules/wysiwyg/addons/imagelibrary/select_image.php
and replace there

Code: Select all

if (@$login->IsLoggedInAsAdmin()){

with

Code: Select all

if (@$login->IsLoggedInAsAdmin() || @$login->IsLoggedInAsAuthor()){

Same problem here: FORBIDDEN You do not have permission to access this document. But i work with te last version... This code is already implemented. Is this a server problem? The folder images/uploads has a 755 permission.

Can post here a screenshot on your page, so we could understand what exactly happens?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but the fix suggested here doesn't help me upload an avatar image. I get no error message, all seems well, but no preview image appears and the image displayed on the blog is the pre-installed no_image.png. I've formatted my avatar image exactly the same as the pre-installed one (.png 82x82) and I've tried it at 32x32 as well, which is what's specified, though I think that's an error.

What can I be doing wrong?

Many thanks for your help!

May be when you formatted it and uploaded it changed access permissions.

Hi, thanks for the super-fast response!

However, that's not it. The image doesn't actually upload. If I manually upload it via ftp the permissions are correct (644), but I cannot find a way of pointing the MicroBlog to it. Nor can I get the original default avatar to display again now that I've removed it (though it's still unchanged in the proper /images/users_images directory). I must be missing something simple, but I can't spot what it is!

Has nobody else had this problem?

Solved it by setting recursive permissions on the images directory to 777. Thanks for the tip. Why did it happen though? Is this a bug or a hiccup in my installation?

Great bit of software - keep up the good work!

no, all this depends on the settings of your server and FTP client you use for uploading of files.
