Preserve GET parms where displaying Calendar?

Postby ebmele » Sep 26th, '10, 15:21

I am trying to integrate the calendar into a page on my website, which page also requires GET parameters to work properly. Whenever I try to interact with the calendar however, it looks like the page is being redirected to the "root" of the site.

For example, I am displaying the calendar on a page http like:
www.thisismysite.com/mypage?gp=1

And whenever I click on an item on the calendar, I get redirected to:
www.thisismysite.com/index.php

I've been reading about doPostBack() but I'm getting a little lost. Can you please help?

You have to use following:

## +-- Passing Parameters -------------------------------------------------
## *** save http request variables between calendar's sessions
$http_request_vars = array("param1", "param2");
$objCalendar->SaveHttpRequestVars($http_request_vars);

where in array listed parameters that need to be saved.

Thank you. I tried this but didn't have much luck getting these Request parameters back into the GET string. So instead I modified the "actionLink" member in the constructor of the Calendar class, and that seems to work just fine. My actionLink is now the equivalent of "/mypage?gp=1".

Please let me know if you think this will cause more issues for me in the long run, but for now I am going to move forward and see if I can finish integrating this calendar.

I have my calendar event listed of course but it would be nice to still get the notification as a reminder of an upcoming meeting.

Calendar id only a component, not a fully-featured site.
You may develop such feature by your self, using cron.
